About this event
The Tampa Sailing Squadron Midwinter Championship Invitational is an invitational regatta for Buccaneer18, Daysailer, and Windmill Classes, with a Portsmouth class for boats 19’ and under with a Portsmouth rating. Join us for two days of windward/leeward racing on Tampa Bay.
Registration includes a two custom regatta shirts, two passes for hot breakfast on Saturday morning, and two tickets to dinner Saturday evening. Additional shirts and dinner tickets can be purchased from this Event page. Order your shirts before February 28 to ensure that you get the sizes you want. Online registration closes at 6:30 PM on Thursday, March 12.
This event is a “Clean Regatta.” Racers are encouraged to use non-single-use water bottles and recycle all appropriate items.
We recommend you read the Notice of Race before you register.

Friday, March 13
- 13:30-15:00 Warning signal for Practice Race(s). No race will start after 3:00 PM
- 17:30-18:30 On-site check-in, late registration.
Saturday, March 14
- 08:00-09:00 Hot breakfast is served.
- 08:00-09:00 On-site check-in, late registration.
- 09:00 Competitors' meeting.
- 11:00-16:00 Warning signal for first race. Additional races follow. No race will start after 4:00 PM
- 16:30-17:30 Happy Hour (BYOB. Keg provided by OA.)
- 18:00 Dinner.
Sunday March 15
- 10:30-14:00 Warning signal for first race. Additional races follow. No race will start after 2:00 PM
